Registering with Naver Search Advisor

Register your site with Naver Search Advisor (Naver Webmaster Tools), verify ownership, then submit your sitemap and request page collection to get indexed in Naver search.

While Google Search Console covers Google search, getting indexed in Naver requires registering your site with Naver Search Advisor (Naver Webmaster Tools). The inblog dashboard does not have a built-in Naver integration, so you register manually as follows.

Before you start

  • Your blog must have a custom domain connected. (Ownership verification is not feasible with the default example.inblog.io domain.)
  • Naver indexing is separate from Google indexing — register with both if you want visibility on both search engines.

1. Register Your Site

  1. Go to Naver Search Advisor, sign in, and open Webmaster Tools (웹마스터 도구).
  2. In the Add Site (사이트 등록) field, enter the custom domain connected to inblog, including https:// (e.g., https://blog.example.com).

2. Verify Site Ownership (HTML tag)

  1. Choose the HTML tag (HTML 태그) verification method and copy the provided <meta> tag (e.g., <meta name="naver-site-verification" content="..." />).

Note: The HTML file upload option Naver also offers is not supported by inblog. You must use the HTML tag method (the same as Google Search Console).

  2. In the inblog dashboard, go to Settings → Advanced → Code injection.

  3. Paste the copied meta tag into the Start of <head> tag field and save. (This is the same place the Google Search Console verification tag goes.)

  4. Return to Naver Search Advisor and click Verify (소유확인).

3. Submit Your Sitemap

  1. In Webmaster Tools, go to Request → Submit Sitemap (요청 → 사이트맵 제출).
  2. Enter sitemap.xml as the sitemap address and submit. inblog generates the sitemap automatically — see Submitting Your Sitemap.

4. Request Page Collection

To accelerate indexing of specific pages, enter their URLs under Request → Web Page Collection (요청 → 웹 페이지 수집).

Submitting a sitemap and requesting collection do not guarantee indexing; it may take time depending on Naver's internal policies.
