Keep structured data current alongside custom schemas
Add schemas such as FAQ while keeping untouched post fields up to date, without losing your custom content.
Adding an FAQ schema should not leave your post's structured data tied to an old URL or author. Untouched, automatically managed fields now follow changes to the post even when you use additional schemas.
- Post-based fields stay current while your questions, answers, steps, ratings, and custom values remain intact.
- Fields you edit manually or explicitly remove are preserved rather than replaced with generated values.
- Previously saved schemas are not changed automatically. In Post settings → JSON-LD Schema, select a schema, use Sync with post, review the result, and Save Schemas to start automatic management for its untouched fields. Newly created schemas also support this behavior after saving.
This keeps the structured data you provide aligned with your content; it does not guarantee rich results or higher search rankings.
