Retrieve per-post search keywords with the API and AI tools
Specify a post and date range to retrieve its top queries, search clicks, impressions, CTR, and average position for your content reports.
Want to include the queries that bring readers to a specific post in your content report? The search keywords API and AI connection now let you retrieve data for one post, instead of starting with your blog's overall queries.
- Set
post_idwhen retrieving search keywords to get that post's queries, search clicks, impressions, CTR, and average position. It is also available inget_search_keywords. Omit the post ID to retrieve blog-wide data as before. - Specify a date range, result count, and sort order to retrieve the top queries relevant to your report.
- Try asking your AI tool: “Retrieve this post's top 10 queries from last month with clicks and impressions, and organize them into a report table.” Your tool formats the retrieved data in the conversation; this is not a separate file-download feature.
This requires a Team plan or above, dashboard read permission, and a Google Search Console connection. Results contain the top queries provided by Search Console, not a guaranteed list of every query. The lookup uses the post's current public URL and does not combine data from an earlier URL after an address change.
See the search performance guide for setup and available metrics.
