Make short table columns narrower
Drag a short column, such as a rank or number column, down to 40px and it keeps the same width in the editor and in the published post.
Columns with short content, such as ranks, numbers, or check marks, never displayed narrower than 120px, so dragging the column edge had no visible effect. You can now drag a column edge in the editor down to 40px, and the published post shows the same width.
Tables you have already published keep their current look. When you drag a column in an existing table, the new width applies from that column, and the drag starts from the width you see on screen. On small screens, narrowed columns don't shrink below the width you set, and wide tables scroll sideways.
