Email Delivery status
Note: Inblog automatically excludes Bounced & Complained emails from the subscribers list to maintain a good email reputation. After troubleshooting delivery issues, you can re-add affected subscribers to the active subscriber list.
Here are all the events that can be associated with an email:
Sent
- The API request was successful and Inblog will attempt to deliver the message to the recipient’s mail server.Delivered
- Inblog successfully delivered the email to the recipient’s mail server.Opened
- The recipient's opened the email. Open tracking can be inaccurate due to inbox rules. Learn more about open rate inaccuracy.Clicked
- The recipient's clicked on the links included in the email content.Delivery Delayed
- The email couldn’t be delivered to the recipient’s mail server because a temporary issue occurred. Delivery delays can occur, for example, when the recipient’s inbox is full, or when the receiving email server experiences a transient issue.Complained
- The email was successfully delivered to the recipient’s mail server, but the recipient marked it as spam.Inblog won't send emails to that account in the future.
Bounced
- Delivery of the email failed. The recipient's mail server rejected it, possibly due to various issues such as invalid addresses, full mailboxes, server problems, spam filters, size limits, or blacklisting.You can re-add affected subscribers to the active subscriber list after troubleshooting the issue.
Sending emails without fixing bounce issues raises your risk of being flagged as a spammer and blacklisted, which damages your email reputation.
