Email Delivery status

Note: Inblog automatically excludes Bounced & Complained emails from the subscribers list to maintain a good email reputation. After troubleshooting delivery issues, you can re-add affected subscribers to the active subscriber list.

Here are all the events that can be associated with an email:

  • Sent - The API request was successful and Inblog will attempt to deliver the message to the recipient’s mail server.

  • Delivered - Inblog successfully delivered the email to the recipient’s mail server.

  • Opened - The recipient's opened the email. Open tracking can be inaccurate due to inbox rules. Learn more about open rate inaccuracy.

  • Clicked - The recipient's clicked on the links included in the email content.

  • Delivery Delayed - The email couldn’t be delivered to the recipient’s mail server because a temporary issue occurred. Delivery delays can occur, for example, when the recipient’s inbox is full, or when the receiving email server experiences a transient issue.

  • Complained - The email was successfully delivered to the recipient’s mail server, but the recipient marked it as spam.

    • Inblog won't send emails to that account in the future.

  • Bounced - Delivery of the email failed. The recipient's mail server rejected it, possibly due to various issues such as invalid addresses, full mailboxes, server problems, spam filters, size limits, or blacklisting.

    • You can re-add affected subscribers to the active subscriber list after troubleshooting the issue.

    • Sending emails without fixing bounce issues raises your risk of being flagged as a spammer and blacklisted, which damages your email reputation.
