Research has shown that moderate sun exposure increases vitamin D levels, which in turn boosts fertility by elevating estrogen, progesterone, and testosterone levels.

Steroids highlights that women aged 30-40 who are exposed to moderate solar radiation in spring and autumn have higher levels of anti-Müllerian hormone (AMH), an indicator of ovarian reserve.

Another study from Tel Aviv University, released on February 19, 2024, confirms that increased ultraviolet radiation can improve fertility rates for women in this age group.

Conversely, excessive sun exposure can negatively impact fertility by affecting folic acid levels, crucial for cell growth and DNA synthesis during pregnancy.

These findings demonstrate the nuanced role of sunlight in reproductive health, emphasizing the need for balanced sun exposure to harness its benefits without incurring risks.
